Hello and Welcome! I am new to town and would really like to get other women in the area together to enjoy Hendersonville with! I want to build a group of women looking to make new friends and try new experiences together.
I hope to bring the Women of Hendersonville together to have coffee, brunch, dinners, wine nights, and book clubs. We can attend breweries, the movies or the theater, go on hikes, do yoga, and anything else you can think of!
So let's get together to have fun, socialize, and get to know one another! If you’re new to town, or not new to town, it doesn’t matter. ALL are welcome and I cannot wait to meet each one of you!
I also want to remind everyone that we have no cliques formed (nor do I intend for there ever to be any). So please do not feel like you're an outsider to this group or don't know anyone well enough to engage in our discussions or activities. This is truly an open group and everyone is welcome. Old. Young. Working. Retired. Rich. Poor. I don't care what you are - we simply want everyone to come and be apart of making friends and becoming more social in and around Hendersonville - our HOME.
We are open to your ideas and suggestions to make this group fun for all! Anyone can post an event in this group. And this is always welcome. More events keep the group active and it gives you a chance to work events around your own schedule. You do not need a theme or a set schedule - post anything you'd like to do. If you think it would be fun, chances are that someone else will too!
Lastly, some housekeeping: You are always welcome to bring friends to any of our events. Even if they are not a member of this Meet Up group. However, please keep in mind this is a group for women and most of our events will be for women only. Some of our events, from time to time, will be open to partners or friends of the opposite sex - which will be stated in the details of that event.
About the book: “An indelible tale of identity, family and home that centers around identical twin sisters and their daughters, all living vastly different lives. From the acclaimed author of The Mothers, The Vanishing Half is a story that asks pertinent and, at times, overwhelming questions about who we are and where we’re headed as a society. Brit Bennett’s writing is smart and sharp, funny and melancholy, and it’s clear she has a lot of love for her characters. You will not be able to put this book down!”
If anyone has any suggestions on locations for our next book club, let me know! It just needs to be outdoor with space to spread out!
