What is your musical background?

I sang in a Chorus and Show Choir program in my middle/high schools in the 1980s and sang in my high school musicals. When I was at Norwich University, I was in an a cappella group for 3 years, as well as a member of The BarreTones, Inc in Barre, VT from[masked], which was my first introduction to women's barbershop singing. When I married my husband and moved back to MA, I found Women of Note in August 2002 and was a full member until May of 2014! I started off singing lead, and have sung tenor as well. I've sung baritone in the quartets, "Just Croonin" and "Impromptune" just for fun and even competed with them. And once in awhile, I dabbled in directing for the chorus when our Director let me! I loved performing with the chorus in general, doing local and community events. I love this hobby! :-)

My name is Angie and I loved singing with Women of Note since 2002. I started off as a Lead, and then sang Tenor and was their President from April 2010 - 2013. I sing tenor in a quartet, "Acappella 4" that formed in August 2010.

What Angie D is saying about this Meetup Group

I think WON is a fun and dynamic group of ladies who range in age from 13 into the 70s. We are an eclectic bunch of gals who enjoy the social aspects of singing together each week, improving our musical skills as a chorus, as well as sharing our talents into the local community for different events and performances. If you are looking to sing in a group and don't know where to start, come on and check us out!
