Monday Night "Zoom" Rehearsal with Harmony Sound Waves

Online event

Harmony Sound Waves is now rehearsing by "Zoom" on Monday nights, 7-8 pm. If you would like to "visit" and rehearse with us, call Nancy at (386)[masked]. She will send you the link, ID, and password for the next rehearsal! All women singers are welcome!

Before the Covid-19 virus outbreak, we rehearsed in Eubanks Hall at the First Presbyterian Church, 509 Magnolia Street in New Smyrna Beach. We hope to get back to in-person rehearsals later this Summer.

We have a very talented new Director, Sean Christopher Stork, a professional singer with a degree in Vocal Performance from FSU. He sings opera as well as barbershop, and we are thrilled to have him with us!

Our chorus sings a cappella 4-part harmony: Bass, Baritone, Lead and Tenor. Generally, the melody of a song is sung by the lead section, so this is often where visitors and new members start. But feel free to join whichever section you feel best suits your voice. And if you're not sure which part is best for you, our director, Sean, can help you out. We don't have auditions for new-comers , but our director might ask you to sing a few lines of a simple song (in private) to get an idea of your vocal range.

Don't worry if you are not great at reading music! If you choose to join the chorus, you will receive learning tracks for most of the new songs to help you learn your part.

We so look forward to meeting you - by zoom - and eventually in person!
