What we're about

Inspired by seeing brilliant women's basketball at the London Olympics, we set up our own squad, the Hackney Huskies, in 2012.

What began as a group of friends learning a new skill from scratch has grown as a network of women of all abilities who train together for fitness and to learn a fun, fast-paced sport.

We have a mixture of players of all abilities and love to welcome new recruits, whether you have played in teams before, or want to try something new.

All our sessions begin with a warm-up and drills to develop understanding and skills for the game. Then we play!

This is a group for women interested in having fun playing basketball. All skill levels are welcome. We play every Monday from 8 to 10 pm at King's Hall Leisure Centre (E5 0NU).

First session is free then a two-hour training session is £10/person (or less when you do a block booking for multiple sessions). This covers court hire.

(Or you can join our block booking which is even cheaper.) Kings Hall Leisure Centre, 39 Lower Clapton Rd, Hackney E5 0NU https://goo.gl/maps/t3iBddumFN92 The closest station is Hackney Central or Hackney Downs.
