    The mission of the Women's Divorce Resource Center is to empower and educate women contemplating and going through the divorce process. We provide educational opportunities about the legal options, and financial and emotional aspects of divorce. Women's Divorce Workshops are presented on Saturday mornings, or week day evenings- on two consecutive weeks. Pick the format that works best for you. This is Part 2 of a two part workshop. At this workshop a therapist will discuss how to cope with the emotional challenges of divorce for you and your children. A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst will discuss important financial and tax matters that you need to be aware of for your divorce. If you are contemplating or just starting the divorce process, this workshop will provide important information for you and your family.   • Dealing with a Difficult Ex. Before, During and After Divorce

    Does your (ex) spouse say one thing and do another? Does he blame you for things he has done? Do you sometimes feel bullied, shamed or guilty about things that you don't feel were in your control? Does your (ex) spouse present as kind, charming and engaging in public, only to insult and yell at you privately? Does he seek to control what you do, who your friends are and how much money you spend? These are some of the issues and challenges in dealing with a difficult (ex) spouse. Our July 17th Special Topic seminar includes a panel presentation by a therapist, attorney and financial advisor who have dealt with such difficult people in their work. You'll hear examples of situations that women have experienced with difficult spouses and what they learned. You will learn options and strategies for coping- emotionally and legally as you navigate the divorce or post-divorce process with your difficult spouse. And, how to prepare yourself to move on after divorce. There will be ample time for Q and A to assist you in dealing with your difficult spouse. The tax code changes that were signed into law in December 2017 will affect everyone in one way or another. The changes may be particularly significant if you are - or soon will be divorced and expect to receive child support and/ or spousal support.
