What we're about

If you are looking for a new fun sport, want to immerse yourself in Irish culture (they know how to have a good time), get fit or simply just want to have some fun then we are your group :) Gaelic football is one the national sports of Ireland and can be described as a cross between Soccer, Volleyball and Basketball.

Our Season runs from April to October, in the mean time we run a coed football league from January to March. For more information check out this link:

More about us:

Na Fianna is a women’s athletic club founded in 1997. We play Gaelic Football and Camogie, the two national sports of Ireland. Our goal is to have some fun playing awesome sports while sharing the Irish culture within Southern California. We are a not-for-profit association that likes give back to the community as much as possible, with a minimum of 10% of any money we raise going back to non-profits. “Na Fianna” translates to “The Warriors” in Irish and our strong team spirit is all about women playing sport in a fun and competitive environment. We are San Diego’s only women’s Gaelic team and represent San Diego in the Southwest Division of the Gaelic Athletic Association in North America.

We welcome women players of any and every skill level.
