As part of our series on Toltec wisdom and The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz, tonight we will learn how to take back our power that was lost in difficult life experiences. This work is based on teachings by don Miguel Ruiz, Carlos Castaneda, Taisha Abelar and Merilyn Tunneshende.

Recapitulation is the act of calling back the energy we have already spent in past actions. As we use up our energy in everyday exchanges, especially negative experiences, we can begin to feel depleted, listless, or depressed. We can feel physically run down and find it hard to bounce back or heal ourselves. In this state it is difficult to do ceremony, shamanic practices or any healing work that requires high energy.

Using conscious breath work it is possible to call this energy back, to replenish our energy bodies, and erase the painful memories that keep us stuck at certain stages of our lives. The Art of Freedom, as Don Juan called it, is one of the most potent healing gifts we can give ourselves. Tonight we will learn how to use this powerful tool from the Toltec teachings to reclaim our freedom and our personal power.

Following the discussion, we will take a shamanic drum journey to allow each woman to work on personal issues with her Spirit guides. Please dress comfortably, and feel free to bring drums, rattles or other instruments, along with a journal for recording any insights received on your journey. Doors open at 7:00 pm and close at 7:30 pm, and ends at 10:00 pm. Please RSVP to ensure your space. Suggested donation of $10.00 per person to cover the space rental. Come join us for this powerful exploration!

We will be meeting in the Serena Room at Casa de Luz. Some backjacks, folding chairs, pillows and yoga blankets will be available. If possible, you might want to bring your own pillow or blanket to help make sure that you're comfy during the circle, especially if you plan to journey lying down on the floor. You might also want to bring a light wrap or sweater in case the AC is acting up! :) Several of us will be having dinner at 6 PM in Casa's restaurant, so feel free to join us for dinner before the circle! (Reminder: It is OK to park in the City lots across the street in spite of the "no parking" signs posted there. The City has an agreement with Casa, at least for now.)
