Enter the Egyptian Mysteries

In the beginning we are innocent, trusting, and open. In this circle, we are going back to a place of innocence and openness, a time where we are trusting and willing to take a chance on life and spirit. Like a rebirth, a shamanic rebirth, we are opening ourselves to a particular shamanic tradition and meeting new deities, a new reality. Tonight we will introduce you to at least one and possibly two Egyptian deities and do a guided meditation to initiate you into the world of the ancient Egyptians.

Come with an open and questing mind. Explore and celebrate the universal truths that we find and share.

Please dress comfortably, and feel free to bring drums, rattles or other instruments, along with a journal for recording any insights received on the journey we will take following our discussion. Also feel free to bring an item to put on the altar during our circle.

Doors open at 7:00 pm and close at 7:30 pm, and ends at 10:00 pm. Please RSVP to ensure your space. Suggested donation of $10.00 per person to cover the space rental. Come join us for this powerful exploration!

We will be meeting in the Serena Room at Casa de Luz. Some backjacks, folding chairs, pillows and yoga blankets will be available. If possible, you might want to bring your own pillow or blanket to help make sure that you're comfy during the circle, especially if you plan to journey lying down on the floor. You might also want to bring a light wrap or sweater in case the AC is acting up! :) Several of us will be having dinner at 6 PM in Casa's restaurant, so feel free to join us for dinner before the circle!

Shoot! I didn't see that I was confirmed for this - it must have let me in like right at 7, when I left my house to do something else. I'm bummed and I hope it went well!

How did this practice get started?

Beliefs and practices that we attribute as originating with the Ancient Egyptians began in the Predynastic period (beginning around 6500 BCE). In our circle we will discuss and explore these, and use guided meditations to deepen the experience and allow us to connect more fully to this tradition.

I hope that answers your question. Let me know if this is still unclear, or if I did not address your question fully.

Attended prior circles @ Casa de Luz. LOVED warm, inviting, SAFE environment. For womyn new to shamanism, the work, info taught by the organizers is knowledgeable & so very appreciated. My inference when I attended is that it's a teaching group, bc amt spent explaining fundamentals & less time journeying. Few groups address the needs of women possessing more extensive experience & building from that level. They are disenfranchised, w/lost voices. I 'm posting respectfully for advice & offer blessing to those on their journeys. Egyptian shamanic circles are very appealing to my peers; esp those w/ a blend of Ceremonial & Shamanic parts to practice. My good friend is a devotee Sekhmet & Ma'at & I was drawn here bc of extensive work w/Egyptian Patronesses that whisper to me. For Priestesses, Witches, Shamans w/extensive journeying experience, shamanic skills is there interest in a 2nd circle, closed for those who possess this additional experience, discipline, skills?
    TY!!
