'Mele Kalikimaka is Hawai'i's way of saying Merry Christmas to you!'

Join our north side Ukulele group for our December meetup for an evening of cheerful Christmas and Holiday songs! If you missed last year's, you have a chance to attend this year and play songs on ukulele with everyone! We'll be playing traditional, popular and Hawaiian Christmas/Holiday songs. And after playing with us, you can entertain your family and friends! If you want to dress up for the evening, you're most welcomed to do so. Let's make it a fun night to remember!
Formerly known as Wonderwall's Oak Park Ukulele Meetup Group aka The Harrison Street Ukulele Players. We were on WGN-TV 'Chicago's Very Own, Dec. 19, 2014. http//wgntv.com/2012/12/19/the-celebrated-and-festive-sound-of-ukulele/
We meet once-a-month, on the first Tuesday of each month and play a variety of songs such as Hawaiian, Beatles, Tin Pan Alley, Country Western and more. All song booklets and handouts are distributed in-person to our attending members only and are for educational and instructional purposes only.
Our wonderful host venue, The Tiki Terrace - Hawaiian Restaurant & Tiki Bar is located at 1519 Lee Street, Des Plaines IL. This tropical paradise greets you with 'Aloha' upon entering, real Hawaiian hospitality. And Tuesdays are 'Mai Tai Tuesdays' too!
The Tiki Terrace is a very popular venue for visiting artists from Hawai'i. Jake Shimabukuro, Herb Ohta, Jr., Aldrine Guerrero to name a few have performed on their stage.
