  • 150 West Canal Street, Suite 4, Winooski, VT. You will see the sign.
  • At Rosato Woodturning Center, I offer Woodturning instruction for turners of all levels. Attendees work at their own pace on projects of their choosing.

For absolute beginners, $160 gets you two evening classes and wood to turn. Every attendee completes one individual-sized salad bowl, many complete two bowls. All tools are provided. You will learn all the basics such as what tools to use, how to sharpen, how to hold wood on the lathe, and how to carve and finish wood bowls. This beginner course is required before moving onto more complicated projects. You may attend Monday and/or Thursday classes. Start this week!

For slightly experienced or returning beginner attendees, $150 gets you 3 evening classes. You may attend Monday and/or Thursday classes. Wood is available for purchase at $10 to $20 a piece. If you have wood to bring you may do so.

Projects you can consider making: bowls, pepper mills, stools, tool handles, wine bottle stoppers, dinner plates, serving platters, goblets, chalices, rolling pins, holiday ornaments, mortar and pestles, sculptures, wood mushrooms, vases, twig pots, or just a pile of shavings.

Experienced turners who want a refresher on tool usage, selection, or sharpening are welcome as well. For instance, if you want to learn how to use the skew without too much frustration I can assist.

Please email me directly if you would like to attend one of these sessions. [masked]
