Bring along your yoga mat to Woodhouse Moor, after park run, stroll up to Hyde Park Book Club (HPBC), have some refreshment while waiting for me, Shannen, your host, to crawl pass the finishing line and meet you guys up there at HPBC.

We aim to start about 10am, focus on some Vinyasa Flow Yoga for runners; starting with meditation, follow by pranayama (breath work), then flow through a series of Vinyasa Yoga that focus on our runner body’s specific needs; to lengthen those tight muscles, strengthen the core, feet and ankles, improve running postures; breathe better and even training the mindπŸ™πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ and finishing off with deep relaxation. This perfect cross training session for all runners will be held at the cool rustic space in the basement of HPBC. These yoga sessions are catered for all runners and yogis of all abilities for us to look after and rejuvenate our body to be able to enjoy and sustain our running. Do come to see for yourselves and join Shannen for what your body deserve after a good run.

The yoga for runners session aim to compliment
your run, and of course, follow by a good natter and coffee session after for us to catch up, talk for England about running and yoga and more, to form friendships, get inspirations and basically just hang out β˜•οΈπŸ° Shannen is also a holistic therapist and will offer some seated fully clothed neck, back and shoulder massage sessions for you to pamper yourself.

I’m your host, Shannen Li, a 200hours RYT Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, and a work-in- progress return runner, I’m setting up this yoga for runners meet up group with the aims of spreading my love of yoga, and hope yoga will help all my fellow runners to prevent and ease injuries, to be stronger and more flexible runners; and also I hope to be inspired by all my fellows runners to start running back slowly again.

All sessions are paid as you feel, Hyde Park Book Club has been so kind, generous and big hearted to offer us the venue for free, they are joining hands with us, to donate all our proceeds to local charity groups. We will soon come up with a list of local groups that we would love to support and please kindly contribute some ideas if you have some good local causes in mind.

Shannen practices karma yoga, sharing her passions of yoga, meditation, breath work, holistic therapies, from the bottom of her heart unconditionally and she wish her fellow runners open their hearts to receive and come and have a go and see how yoga could benefit your runner body, be at service to your body, mind, spirit and soul, and connect to your own true selves πŸ™ Shannen strongly believe that yoga and wellness need not to be attached with a price tag. They should be more accessible, and Shannen would like to reach out for all my runners that would like to empower ourselves to enhance our total wellbeing.

These no fuss yoga for runners sessions, also give us a chance to plant the good karmic seeds, to give to good cause and to produce social impacts.
