How have you been feeling lately? Are you like most of us and always giving to others, rather than to yourself? Living in LA can cause stress, disconnection and so much overwhelm. Our busy, over-scheduled and productivity obsessed lifestyle doesn't offer many opportunities to focus on ourselves as well as connect with other like-minded individuals. Life is so much more than just what we can accomplish in a day. People are suffering from anxiety, depression and loneliness, now more than ever. Through the breath and our supportive community, I offer a safe space to release anything that doesn't serve you and promise you'll leave feeling inspired, grateful and joyous.
HOW DO YOU DO IT? We are balancing the nervous system by just breathing, lying face up on the floor, with an easy 3 step technique. We use the belly and mouth to take in lots of oxygen and move trapped energy out of the body. I'll teach you the 3 step process, check on you throughout the class and guide you the whole time. This active meditation is unique because it has great music and motivation (me!) so it's not the boring, quiet meditation you're used to.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? Scientifically, Breathwork calms the mind, reduces the release of stress hormones cortisol and vasopressin and increases the “feel-good” hormones oxytocin and prolactin. By breathing in this fashion, we bring in a lot of oxygen to our blood, which changes the PH and creates more alkalinity in the body. It slows down the heart rate and blood pressure, reduces anxiety and improves stress-related health conditions, including insomnia, IBS, depression, Crohn's disease, etc. Basically, you’ll feel better and have a stronger, more loving connection with yourself. And who doesn’t want more of that? :)
ARE YOU NEW TO THIS? No problem!!! Come breathe with us. Every one of my classes has many first time Breathworkers and I'm great at explaining it all and making you feel comfortable. You're in good hands.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Please bring a yoga mat and water. An eye mask and blanket is optional. Try to avoid eating a big meal 2 hours prior.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR: Jeannie is a credentialed Teacher, Breathwork and Meditation Facilitator, Sound Healer, Reiki Practitioner and Functional Nutritional Guide (through Mind Body Green.) She's a Health Coach who has been on a wellness journey for over 15 years. She's spent over a decade immersed in the personal growth and wellness community. In 2018, she completed a one year mastermind functional life coaching program with industry leader, Mastin Kipp. She earned 2 BA's from UCSB in Spanish and Psychology.
