  • Let's head out for a MidPackers Long, Slow Distance (MPLSD) Run. We will start and finish at the Starbucks on Queens Blvd and 46th Street.


    WHEN/WHERE: 9:00am, Starbucks in Sunnyside.

    PACE: Your weekly leaders, Sue & Heather, run at a 10/10:30 minute-per-mile pace. If you run faster or slower than this, you are still welcome to join us! But please study the route as posted in the comments section a few days before the run. We're usually able to catch up at lights, turn around points, etc. But please study the route!

    ROUTE: We change the route from week to week to keep things interesting. Check the comments section for details a few days before the run.

    DISTANCE: Check the comments section for details a few days before the run.

    SAFETY: Please make sure you are able to run the posted distance, and/or familiarize yourself with the posted route map if you need to cut your run short. It's a good idea to bring your Metrocard and some cash just in case. PLEASE CARRY WATER.

    IMPORTANT: Be sure to bring along any fluids and/or nutrition you may need to successfully complete this distance as we'd like to make minimal stops.

    WINTER UPDATE: Water fountains are OFF in all city parks, so it is important that you carry your own water. This is for your health, comfort, and safety. We may not be running near bodegas/access to water, and in any case we'd like to make as few stops as possible. PLEASE CARRY WATER!
