We are sorry to say that all meetups at the Hive have now been suspended due to Covid-19.
Fortunately, we are now in a position to offer our members the opportunity to meet once again using Zoom until we feel comfortable with re-starting the meetings at the Hive. Our intention for the group remains the same - this is a group for anyone who would like to practise their French with other enthusiastic Francophones and Francophiles.
We have members of a wide range of abilities, including native French speakers, and though everyone is welcome, complete beginners will perhaps feel a little overwhelmed with this new format and should be aware that we do aim to speak in French as much as possible during the meetups.
If you are looking to start learning French or to brushing up on your French more formally, check out the website for Sharon's north Worcestershire based language tuition services by clicking on this link: MFL Worcestershire Tuition (http://www.mflworcestershire.co.uk)
Well despite lockdown for the past 15 months we've still had the pleasure of being able to see one another twice a week albeit online. Its been a great distraction for us all and has been a real treat to continue to have contact with so many of you. It has also been good to start meeting in the park for face to face meetups, despite the unpredictability of the British weather.
Moving forward and since the recent lifting of Covid restrictions, we have now been given a great opportunity to hold our meetings at the library café at the Hive in Worcester on every first and 3rd Monday of the month. Only those in our group will be able to use the café for the morning to reduce the risk from Covid.
So, please come and join us for the morning to practice your Spanish and French conversation in a relaxed environment. Drinks and snacks will be available, though I can't promise table service.
