Description:
ITS Web Services is seeking an experienced Web Developer and CMS Administrator (5+ years) to work on highly visible ITS and UNC-CH web projects. The Developer will build, implement, test, and maintain Wordpress-based sites, administer an enterprise CMS (Oracle UCM), and play a key role in a large, challenging website migration project. In addition, the Developer will provide customer support, respond to help tickets, and interface with system administrators.

The successful candidate will be a solution-oriented pro who can communicate, think creatively, manage time well, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience with standards-compliant X/HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript (including frameworks such as jQuery).

* Ability to translate Photoshop/Fireworks mockups into HTML templates

* Ability to work in a Development and Testing environment and migrate websites and solutions to production environment.

* Advanced Wordpress experience, including command of CMS capabilities such as custom post types, multiple content blocks, and taxonomies; Highly-customized theme production and implementation;
* Knowledge of latest WP plugins, trends, security issues, and best practices

* Thorough understanding of cross platform/browser issues and a commitment to accessibility

* Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
