I'm looking for a part time WordPress Developer at NC State University. In order to be considered, you must be a student at NC State University.

Here is the job description and info:

Description: This position is a crucial part of our Web Development team. You will be given layered photoshop mockups and asked to implement those mockups onto new WordPress sites. This requires a proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS, Responsive Web Design, jQuery, PHP, MySQL, and the WordPress API.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Build responsive websites on a WordPress platform
● Turn layered graphics files into functioning custom Websites.
● Plugin/theme deployment and configuration
● Troubleshooting issues and errors that arise

● In-Depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, & PHP.
● Specific experience developing for WordPress
● In-depth knowledge of the WordPress API
● Knowledge of Responsive Web Design
● Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization techniques
● Passion for clean code, modern web standards, and great user interface design
● Good organization skills
● Good written skills
● Ability to stay on task
● Ability to understand and meet goals in a timely manner
● Ability to work in a team environment and take direction

● jQuery
● WordPress Theme Development
● WordPress Plugin Development
● Experience using Git, SVN and other version control systems

Education and Experience:
● Must be a current NC State University student.

Language Skills: Fluent in verbal and written English
Compensation: Starting at $12 - $14 per hour based on experience.
Hours: Minimum commitment of 20hrs / week.

All Candidates must be able to demonstrate their specific knowledge and proficiency in WordPress Design and Development. Please include a link to an online portfolio, links to projects you have been a part along with your role in the project, and or code samples that are specifically WordPress related.
