The WordPress Melbourne meet up returns for another month. Our WordPress meetup covers everything from choosing Themes & Plugins and setting up your site, through to theme and plugin development and everything related to Core.
We currently run one meetup per month. We try to alternate between end-user/beginner talks one month and development/technical talks the following month. As it all depends on availability of presenters though, please make sure you keep an eye out on the topics for the particular month once we update the meetup page with all the details.
We're always looking for new speakers, so contact the organisers in the meetup.com sidebar if you have an idea for a talk. We usually start the night with a light meal before the talks.
You can find links to past presentation slides (when available), over on our WP Melbourne website - http://wpmelb.org
RSVP's for this meetup will open 7 days before the meetup starts

= WordPress Show and Tell =
This month we're doing something a little different and we need your help. We're going to do a Show and Tell night. We want you to show off your latest creation. We don't mind whether it's a website, plugin, something useful for the Dashboard, or maybe just a fancy new site design to spice up an existing boring site.
We'd love you to spend a few minutes showing off a recent website (or plugin) you've built (or designed) for yourself or someone else. Let us know what theme you used, if there's any particular reason you chose it, what plugins you're using on the site, and of course, if there's any special functionality that may not be obvious.
If you're more focused on the design side of things, rather than building, we'd love to hear from you as well. Let us know what software/tools you're using, why you chose a particular font, where you sourced your imagery, or if there's any special features you had to accommodate in the design.
This meetup is open to everyone, and is not just developer focused. Even if it's your first WordPress site you've put together, we'd love to hear from you. Let us know whether you found it easy, or if you struggled with any obstacles. If you did have any issues, maybe we can suggest some solutions to help you out for next time.
The night is going to be really casual. We don't expect you to create slides and do a formal presentation. Just spend 5 to 10 minutes telling us about one of your favourite (or even not-so-favourite) projects.
Hope to see you there!
