Be ready and prepared for the biggest feature coming to WordPress 5.0!
Gutenberg — WordPress' brand new editor — will be here sooner than you think. It introduces a block-based editing and development paradigm that will be the foundation of WordPress for the next 10 years. Gutenberg is powerful, and you should be ready to take advantage of it.
Daniel Bachhuber and Sayed Taqui from rtCamp (https://rtcamp.com/), a WordPress.com VIP Services Partner, will provide members of our meetup with a technical introduction to Gutenberg. Things being covered:
* An introduction to the Block API.
* When to build a static block vs. a dynamic block.
* How to prepare your existing WordPress theme or plugin.
rtCamp will be joining us virtually via video chat. We will be meeting at the regular space and using the projector for everyone there. This will start promptly at 7pm and go until about 7:45pm, so do not be late. Afterwards, we will discuss Gutenberg among ourselves.

We order pizza and have beers in the fridge. If you'd like to partake, bring a few bucks to help offset the cost and to put in the kitty towards Meetup space upkeep, rent and towards an air conditioning unit.
