Workshop: Setting up a Local WordPress Dev Environment

Chris Edwards is going to lead our first workshop, which will help you get started with local development. This will be the basis for future workshops, so be sure to attend if you don't have a place to start building websites yet.

Learn how to setup an easy to use locally installed WordPress site using Desktop Server. We will walk through installation and setup for both Mac and Windows based computers. In addition to setup, we will cover blueprints, migrating to and from Desktop Server and tools. Make sure you bring your computer to follow along as this will be entirely hands on.

Check out this and the future workshops here:

Hi Darlene, Sorry you can't make it. :-( We don't currently have plans to have this workshop in the near future but we did one similar last year so you never know. That said, there is a small chance we will be recording the workshops and posting on the This will require sponsorship by then so we can't make any promises, but if it does get recorded we will certainly post about it.
