At the WordPress Suffolk Meetup (https://wpsuffolk.org) this month Tim Nash will be talking to us about WordPress security and Dan Maby will be looking at the future of WordPress editorial.
We will be holding an informal meetup for WordPress developers, designers, users and business owner. Meeting the second Thursday of every month. The format will consist of speakers, open discussion, round tables, lightning talks and your ideas.
# Practical WordPress Security
We have all been to the scary WordPress security talk where Tim or someone else frightens you to death, in those talks there is a theme beyond despair and that’s ‘every little helps’. So this talk is low on scary tales and high on simple practical tips to improve your site’s security.
Presented by Tim Nash. Tim is the 34SP (https://www.34SP.com) WordPress Platform Lead & Developer advocate. He is responsible for the management of the WordPress platform and keeping thousands of sites running fast and staying secure. He is also known to give the odd talk here and there and when he can blog and appear randomly on Youtube. Tims own site is timnash.co.uk and he writes about everything from security to home automation with a healthy dose of WordPress and humour. Follow him @tnash (https://twitter.com/tnash).
