• Introduction to Google Tag Manager

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices - Verani Realty

Hey, folks, Please note the NEW SCHEDULE: the pizza will arrive around 6:15, we'll kick off the formal agenda at 6:30, and plan to wrap up by 8:00pm. Tonight's featured topic: Using Google Tag Manager to measure the effectiveness of your WordPress website Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tool that allows one to manage and deploy marketing tags (snippets of code or tracking pixels) on your website or mobile app without having to modify the code of the site itself. The tool integrates with many different data analysis tools, including Google Analytics, thereby providing a way to track various types of events, such as PDF downloads and clicks on buttons or outbound links. Advanced applications such as complex e-commerce product and promotion tracking are also possible. We'll walk through the basic process to set up a GTM account, install GTM on a website, create, test and deploy an example tag, and view the results generated by the tag in Google Analytics. Afterward, we'll discuss the future of this Meetup going forward, including the meeting schedule, format, desired topics, and coordinator requirements.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices - Verani Realty

6:30 - 7:00 Meet, Greet and Eat! - We'll share some food and drink, and do a bit of informal networking. 7:00 - 7:15 Welcome/Introductions 7:15 - 8:30 Presentations & Discussion Topic A: WordPress for Non-profits (All levels) - Scott Lewis, Lewis Studios WordPress is often used to build websites for non-profit organizations. Non-profit needs are slightly different in that they usually require online giving solutions, and they are often trying to address several distinct audiences such as donors, volunteers, clients, and the general public. In this session, we'll briefly tour a few non-profit websites that are built on WordPress, learn about an online donation form plugin, called Give, and talk about helping multiple audiences navigate your website. If time allows we'll also touch on other elements that non-profits often need, such as an Events Management plugin, Newsletter archive management, and presentation or Collections management for museums and historically oriented organizations. Topic B: Generating & Leveraging Leads from Your Website (All levels) - Janna Hartley, Monguin Creative Not all sales leads are created equal or are ready to make a decision. Using forms on your site to gather information and to connect that information with a lead nurturing system --such as MailChimp, Hubspot, SharpSpring -- allows you to send targeted, personalized messages to distinct segments based on your buyer personas, drawing them through the funnel until they are a more qualified lead. This presentation will discuss lead gathering, lead segmenting, and lead nurturing and some of the ways your site can collect lead information and push it to an email marketing system or marketing automation solution for additional follow-up, qualification and conversion. 8:30 - 8:50 Open mic (ALL levels) 8:50 - 9:00 Wrap up =========================== About The Presenters: Scott Lewis is a freelance marketing services provider who designs and builds Wordpress-based websites and assists clients with marketing automation, strategy, email marketing, and video/photo marketing.
