Quite useful. I grew frustrated with the number of times the workshop got sidetracked with people's hyper-specific questions. Even so, I still walked away with a deeper understanding of WordPress than I had previously. I left at 1:00 and the instructor had made it (almost) halfway through the workshop outline.

Agreed with the hyper-specific questions - my frustration level was raised a bit too. I would wait for these questions for the end of the session. I think there were a number of people attending that were not truly beginners. Perhaps their questions would have been better suited for a more advanced workshop. With that said - I though Eric did a great job and I appreciate his time and his willingness for sharing his knowledge freely. This wasn't a paid workshop - so one must roll with the flow a bit. Thank you Alley for sponsoring and giving us the space!! And for the coffee!!!

I agree - Eric did a great job working with differing levels of expertise and was very generous with his time and knowledge. Alley Interactive was a gracious host.

I learned a lot and I hope to begin my exploration of Wordpress. Also, met some interesting people and can't wait to see their Wordpress website.

Hi all! I was pumped to go but realized a moment ago that I have a schedule conflict. Ergo I've given up my spot. Good luck!

Ok, unfortunately for me, but good for someone else, I can't go- so I've just released my spot. Have at it! :)

I am watching my inbox for opening notices often today. I just noticed a spot opened up and then found out that someone beat me to RSVPing for the opening. Disappointing.

Something came up and won't be able to make it anymore. Just freed up my spot hopefully someone else can take advantage of it!

THANK you, Alex!! I just grabbed your freed-up spot after being too slow on the draw the last two days. Much appreciated...

Hi I know people often RSVP but then don't show up... will there be a standby option at the event?

    April 28

    • Eric Andrew L.

No, I'm sorry to say. We have a finite amount of space and can't manage a standby policy.

i just see this workshop today and it is full already. I am very interested in it and is there any chance I could still join this workshop?

Hi Ka Tai, if anyone rescinds their RSVP you will be able to take their place. Sorry, we have limited space for this event.

Do you mind if I just stand somewhere in the room to look at what you guys are doing, if there are no seat available for me? thanks.

Will an iPad be sufficient at the workshop?
    Many thanks.

    • Eric Andrew L.

Hi Mary Ann, an iPad would be sufficient for the workshop. We'll be working with a WordPress install's web interface, which works on iPads.
