Sorry it didn't work.  I thought it was a great idea.

Well, that went well - Not!

When I announced focused workshops back in December, I thought I was provoking a great evolution in the WordPress Workshop, one that would bring new members in and old members back. I could not have been more wrong. Instead, the new system seems to have scared people away at a time when they are usually full of great intentions and energy to work on their sites.

So, due to the underwhelming response to focused workshops, I am scraping the whole plan and going back to the freewheeling format of simply answering whatever questions you have about your site.

One caveat: If you are new to WordPress and have purchased a premium theme with custom posts that you can't figure out, please don't bring it to WordPress Workshop to get a roadmap. It is simply too complicated a task for me to work on while other people are yearning for my attention. Instead, please read the theme's documentation, visit the developer's site and support forum, or contact the theme developer directly for help in working with the custom posts. Or, better yet, switch back to Twenty-Twelve, and work on that until you have enough understanding of WordPress to work with your premium theme. If all that fails, hire me by the hour to give your site my full attention.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you at a future WordPress Workshop
