Life transitions are always happening but some can be very hard to manage. The key tool to help in managing is awareness of underlying principles of the transitions. Transition is an internal process while a change is an external event. Such awareness become more accessible by the practice of structured and journaling process and mindfulness

Change is often hard and sometimes excruciatingly painful bringing much suffering to us. However, once we can see that though pain is inevitable suffering is optional, then suffering can become a vehicle for personal growth and liberation. Through this work, we can rise strong again after the fall. It is not an easy task all alone by one individual. As a 'village' is needed to raise a child, so a group is needed to support the healing and growth through difficult times.

In this program, using Leia Francisco's "Writing Through Transitions", we will journal our journey exploring and experiencing how writing can be invaluable support in these difficult times. (Please note that sharing will be optional - we respect privacy and individual choice). The intention is to create a supportive and non-judgmental space with full confidentiality and utmost trust so we can empower ourselves and others to rise strong again. Along with journaling we use mindfulness practices to cultivate awareness and reduce stress, improve emotional regulation.

Other supportive works may also be shared for additional resources such as Brene Brown's work "Rising Strong" and Shinzen Yonge's Working with Difficult Emotions, Tara Brach's mindfulness works as foundational practices for healing and alleviation of suffering.

It must be noted that This group is not a therapy group though coming together in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment to share our experiences is known to be therapeutic. If such work brings up difficult emotions to the surface when professional help is deemed necessary, the recommendation is to find professional therapy resources.
