Blues & I-IV-V progressions -- come jam!!! Led by music instructor, Kipp Kahlia
Hey all -- http://Workshop video, 1/28/17: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzLWjUdoMpY Let's focus on the blues and I-IV-V progressions this session: the standard 12-bar blues is a I-IV-V, so they're related. They're commonly-used forms, and there are a zillion songs written on each form. We'll dig as deep as time allows, get the rhythms tight, and play some solos. The store is in a little strip mall at the corner of Carson St. & Los Coyotes Diagonal, which is about a half-mile west of the 605 freeway (and there's a Carson St. exit off the 605). I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again -- bring your instrument and a little amp if necessary, and come JAM. Read the "About Us" section for more info. What we're about

Intermediate Guitarists and Bassists, Come Out and Jam! Be part of a workshop and jam led by Music Instructor and Musicians' Business Coach, Kipp Kahlia. I've worked with hundreds of students through private lessons and classes, and one thing I hear over and over is, "I feel like I'm STUCK." It happens to almost everyone, so why not come out and get past that hump with other people who are going through the same thing? I'll use your questions as a basis for what I teach each session, and then we'll jam for the last half hour, using what you've just learned. And really -- playing with other people will advance you WAY FASTER than playing on your own. I'm serious, people. Don't be skerred! • Date: Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 4:30 to 6 pm • Ages 18 and up • $15 per session • Limit 20 participants • @ The Mirage Cafe, 539 East Bixby Rd., Long Beach, CA 90807 * "Intermediate" means that you can tune your instrument and play some basic chords, or play a basic bass line if you're a bassist. Leave the rest up to me -- I promise we'll make MUSIC together and it will be fun. And you'll learn stuff that will make you a better player.
