Let's have a Ladies' Knight with wine, cheese, and a beginner chess lesson!

Do you like wine? Enjoy cheese? How about chess? Well, grab a gal pal and head over to the Central West End for a casual and fun introduction to the world's most stylish game!

Learn chess fundamentals in a relaxed social setting with the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis' newest women's beginner classes. Open to women & girls of all ages, these lessons are taught by female chess champions IM Irene Sukandar and WGM Katerina Nemcova. Classes are designed for absolute beginners, so no prior knowledge or experience is necessary.

After a few glasses, snacks, and laughs, walk across the street to the World Chess Hall of Fame's exhibition, Her Turn: Revolutionary Women of Chess, which explores the stories of early female pioneers as well as later trailblazers who overturned gender stereotypes in chess.
