On arrival, journey to the nearby Sacred Valley of the Incas. The valley has amazing landscapes of fertile land, mystical ruins and indigenous villages. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the world renowned and colorful Indian market in Pisac where many beautiful crafts are traded. Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant in the Urubamba Valley. Later, travel through the lush valley to Ollantaytambo and explore the splendid ruins of this massive ancient fortress. The village below is a fine example of the Incas incredible urban planning skills. Return to your hotel and in the evening, meet an experienced weaver at your hotel who will show you weaving techniques and let you try it on your own if you wish!

Day 4:
Machu Picchu Today's tour starts in a train in Ollantaymbo and goes to Aguas Calientes. From here, small buses drive up the steep mountain to the ruins. Enjoy an all day excursion at Machu Picchu, one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World.” Your visit today is a highlight of your trip! Be our special guest tonight by sleeping in one of the best locations: Aguas Calientes. This is a hip town situated at Machu Picchu with lots of bars, restaurants, and a relaxed but vibrant nightlife. Many travelers who visit Machu Picchu return to their hotel in Yucay, but tonight you will get to stay in a hotel right near the ruins! Night at leisure in Aguas Calientes.

Day 5:
Cusco Wake up in Aguas Caliente and transfer back to Cusco. (If you wish, you can independently take a very early morning sunrise hike to Huyana Picchu - a famous hike which provides stellar views of Machu Picchu – before leaving this morning). Return to Ollantaytambo by train and then you will be transferred to Cusco by motorcoach. You will have an independent night in Cusco, but it is a short stay as you will leave tomorrow morning.

Day 6:
Lake Titicaca Excursion Fly to Puno for an indigeneous local experience and relaxing visit to Lake Titicaca. Situated on the border between Peru and Bolivia, Lake Titicaca is South America’s largest and highest navigable lake. Upon arrival in Puno, embark on an unforgettable boat journey to explore the magnificent scenery and fascinating life on and around the tranquil lake. First, visit the floating islands of the Uros Indians that still practice the old traditions of fishing, trapping birds and living on the lake plants. The totora reeds, which grow abundantly in the shallows of the lake, are used for their boats, houses and to build the very islands on which they live. Proceed by boat to Taquile Island, where the indigenous inhabitants are dedicated to agriculture and crafting of high quality textiles. You will enjoy lunch on the island and you’ll witness the locals’ customs, traditions and unique costumes before returning to your lakeside hotel. Night at leisure.

Day 7:
Puno/ Lima. This morning visit the mysterious ruins at Sillustani en route to the airport. These unique and well preserved burial towers were built by the Kollas, a tribe that dominated the Titicaca Region before the arrival of the Incas. Next board a short flight to Lima, Peru’s diverse capital. Enjoy a half day city tour of Lima and experience a local Lima dinner at a restaurant.

Day 8
Lima/Ica After breakfast this morning, board your motorcoach to depart Lima for Ica. On the way, you will visit "Bodega 1615" where you will have a full pisco experience! Pisco is an iconic South American alcoholic beverage. Lunch will be served, along with a demo where you will learn about pisco. After lunch, continue on your trip to Ica. Arrive at your luxe hotel and enjoy an included dinner at your hotel, located in a desert like oasis.

Day 9
Ica Enjoy a day at leisure at the hotel by taking a guided tour of the vineyard by the Sommelier, a pisco winery tour, and see the Mirador Vineyard. You will enjoy an included glass of sparkling wine. (This activity is not available on Mondays). You may also participate in a very exciting once in a lifetime optional tour.

**Optional Nazca Flight ($265 per person – must sign up and pay for this optional tour with your final payment. Tour is subject to a minimum number of travelers to operate): Located in the arid Peruvian coastal plain, the geoglyphs of Nazca cover over 450 square km. These lines were scratched on the surface of the ground between 500 BC and 500 AD and are among archaeology's greatest enigmas because of their quantity, nature, size, and continuity. They are a UNESCO World Heritage site and you may recognize some figures such as a monkey, spider, astronaut, and hummingbird. The flight will last approximately 90 minutes.**

If you wish to skip the Nazca flight, you may enjoy leisure time at the hotel which has a lovely pool and bikes to ride through the vineyards. Tonight, rejoin with the group for an included dinner at your hotel. Day 10 - Ballestas Island Boat Excursion / Lima Early morning departure for the Ballestas Islands. You will have a 2 hour boat trip where you will get to see colonies of sea mammals such as sea lions, Peruvian blue footed boobies, pelicans, penguins, turkey vultures, etc. The Ballestas Islands are called the "small Galapagos" as you can see many of the same animals here as you can at the Galapagos Islands. After this excursion, you will return to Lima by motorcoach. Overnight in Lima.
