Dupont Festival to Host "Green in the Circle" Event Saturday

Washington, DC
Post #: 41
Dupont Festival, a group of assorted non-profit organizations, businesses, and residents will be hosting Green in the Circle on Saturday, April 17th from 11am-4pm in Dupont Circle.

Held in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, the event is aimed at further strengthening the greater Dupont Circle community and informing both businesses and individuals of how they can "be greener," as well as which green businesses, organizations, and resources are already a part of the Dupont community. The event will include live music, food, dancing, and a scavenger hunt.

“As some may remember, Dupont Circle was once utilized on a regular basis for concerts, film screenings, and other events,” said Evans. “These activities brought people together and helped foster a real sense of community in the neighborhood.”

Participants in Saturday’s Green in the Circle event include Zipcar, Ben and Jerry’s, Friends of the National Zoo, the District Department of the Environment, the Washington Area Bicycle Association, FRESHFARM Markets, and Green Duck Compostables.

Andrew Huff is Evans’ liaison to Dupont Circle.
