What we're about
Whether it's for a book, blog, poem, or even a journal, Write. Inspire. Repeat. has three goals:
1) WRITE YOUR STORY: We host a judgment-free zone where you can focus on your storytelling, network with storytellers, and speak/recite your work. This meetup group is for writers at any level.
2) INSPIRE OTHER STORYTELLERS: As proud supporters of the non-profit organization, First Book https://firstbook.org/ , we will donate $1 for each member who arrives at our meetups. We want to help the next young readers find “Equal Access to Quality Education”. Please see below for their description
3) REPEAT THE PROCESS: Continue to come at our meetups, submit to writing contests (available in PHOTOS), or bounce your ideas with other storytellers. Whether its for fun or for work, storytellers continually producing work will have immeasurable benefits to their lives.
As their goal of "Equal Access to Quality Education", First Book transforms the lives of children in need. Through a sustainable, market-driven model, First Book is creating equal access to quality education — making everything from brand new, high quality books and educational resources, to sports equipment, winter coats, snacks, and more – affordable to its member network of more than 375,000 educators who exclusively serve kids in need.
Since 1992, First Book has distributed more than 175 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low income families in more than 30 countries. First Book currently reaches an average of 3 million children every year and supports more than one in four of the estimated 1.3 million classrooms and programs serving children in need. With an additional 1,000 educators joining each week, First Book is the largest and fastest-growing network of educators in the United States exclusively serving kids in need.
First Book members work in classrooms, after school and summer or early childhood programs, shelters and health clinics, libraries, community programs, military support programs, and other settings serving a majority of children in need
