Every writer, and I mean every writer, struggles with self-doubt. Since those doubts aren’t going to go away (sorry), how do you keep going, especially when the mean voice in your head gets really loud? What will give you the courage to dig ever deeper in the face of that nagging doubt and soldier on?

Come join us to discover the two questions you can ask yourself that will give you the strength to resist those doubts. The answers to these questions will help you cross that finish line to your first draft, keep your book on track and insure that your draft has the power to rivet readers.

About your presenter:
Jeannie Ballew has been teaching writing in one form or another for thirty years. In 2001, she launched Edit Prose, a book coaching, editing, and marketing service. She lives in Ann Arbor and has served as co-organizer of the Write On, Ann Arbor! Meetup since August 2015.

AGENDA:
6:00-6:20PM - Arrival, refreshments and conversation time
6:20-7:00 - Discussion topic with Jeannie
7:00-7:10 - Accountability check-ins and transition to breakout sessions
7:10-8:20 - Breakout sessions
8:20-8:30 - Accountability statements, Meetup business, and wrap-up
Our Breakout Sessions are:
1) A MASTERMIND Group to discuss and reflect on projects, ideas, and anything that may be holding you back. The group acts as a personal advisory board for each participant, and some real breakthroughs and powerful synchronicities can happen in these groups when ideas are exchanged.
2) A CRITIQUE Group of fellow writers and editors for those who want feedback on some of their work. Critique Group is open to those who want to share and those who simply enjoy reading other writers' work. To share, please bring five copies of four double-spaced pages or fewer. Come to encourage and be encouraged, and be prepared for honest feedback with the goal of helping participants grow as writers.
3) A WRITE TOGETHER Group for those who simply need some time to work on their projects or manuscripts.
We're cultivating an enjoyable place to learn, teach, share, grow, and become better writers. We encourage you to get engaged with the group, attend our events and become a vibrant member of the community. We look forward to seeing you!
