Let's Meetup and Collaborate/Record

Calling all word artists!

WOA is changing its both it's meetup and website formats.

The reason for this is to provide more  venues and avenues for creating our work, expressing our stories, and having more fun to boot.

For myself, I feel as if part of what I thought I knew wasn't really true and some of what I assumed turned out to be merely speculation. I don't know what's going to happen in the future but I know that my art will be affected.

So The Future will be one theme WOA will encourage in some of it's presentations.

WOA will continue to have an Open Mic once a month. There'll also be a couple writing meetups designed for both Collaborations based on Waiting for Godot, Scheherazade, Canterbury Tales themes, the telling of stories about our imagined or real journeys and Individual Writing.

These Writing/Collaboration meetups entail a period (one hour) for writing on our own or working on collaborations between us.

WOA would like to encourage more video, visual/word art for the website as well as continuing of readings, recordings, and airing on the local radio station KUBU/Internet and podcast.

For some of us, writing is always on our minds, if not in our hands. WOA would like to help inspire anyone with the slightest inclination to add their voice because in the coming years (4 at least) our voices need to be heard.
All of our voices, all of our stories, real or imagined.
So join us at one of our meetups and open mics.
Play a part in the continuing story of our lives.

Love this vision that you describe. Huge fan of Waiting For Godot! I already rsvp for a Multicultural Potluck, 10-1, December 3, but if something changes, I will be there.

Well, we'll wait for you to arrive when you can, if not this time then another. In the meantime, gather up your stories.

I'd normally love to do this but I'm already signed up for a writing mini marathon.
