I thought the meetup was great by the way, and I hope to see you all again soon. Sorry for stepping out "early"

We will begin the meeting with introductions (this includes a brief description of the project you are currently working on). Following, we will have a discussion about techniques that you can employ to close the gap between what you as the author is trying to convey to your reader and what the reader is actually receiving. Next, depending on the size of the group, we will break out into smaller groups where you will share your work. The critique of your work will tie directly back to our discussion (Is your story, characters, etc. connecting with your audience the way you intended or do they see/feel/experience something differently?). If we have time, we will rotate the groups. Wrapping up the meeting we will talk about personal goals and keeping each other accountable.

This is not an official response because I am only Roger, but we just read aloud.

Should we bring samples for everyone? How do your meetups usually go?
