What we're about

This is a group for Longmont writers who want to write in the PM. Meetings will take place in the afternoon or evening. We will meet and write together.

My personal motivation is to strengthen my writing habit by having a regular time and place to do it, and other people to hold me accountable, by expecting to see me there, writing. Of course I am also very interested in meeting other writers and sharing thoughts and ideas and maybe some of what I'm working on, for critique or feedback, if I'm feeling brave.

I welcome co-organizers to help out and advise, as well as suggestions for venues, activities and preferences for days/times, just not in the A.M. The meeting venue will be one or more coffee shops in Longmont. If members are interested, I will see about reserving a room at the Longmont library, or someplace, to have a reading, or other, more structured event.

I am looking forward to National Novel Writing Month this year. I'm planning to get serious and complete a novel. For anyone who hasn't heard of it, NaNoWriMo is a fun challenge to write 50,000 words in the month of November. I hope some local writers will sign up and join me.

I look forward to meeting you.

James
