  • DevOps Wroclaw 2018-04: at GeekWeekWro, C is for Culture and M is for Monitoring
Ehlo, We are very glad that for the second time we will be a part of the GeekWeekWro (http://geekweekwro.pl/) event! This two weeks long „IT party” that lasts from 9th to 21st of April is full of knowledge, technologies, workshops and fun. Our upcoming DevOps Wroclaw meetup will take place on 18 of April in the Monterail company. During this time you will see two great presentations: • "Advanced Prometheus" by Dmitry Kudelko DevOps may be defined as CAMS where the „M” covers the Monitoring and Metrics. Our first speaker, Dmitry will take you to the journey via metrics and alerting system. His presentation will be an extension to the "Prometheus 101: get on the hype train" made by Michal Bolek (https://github.com/devopswroclaw/presentations#[masked]) If you are struggling with your monitoring and would like to change the old system to something newer, Dmitry will show you the way! • „DevOps Success Stories” by Mateusz Koszutowski …the letter „C” defines a Culture. This is the first time in our meetup when you will be able to take a look, from the bird’s eye view, how all of those „so called” DevOps Tools and Technologies change the style of work. Mateusz’s will tell you the stories about how he made the cultural change in a company he works everyday. You are warmly welcome to join this special event during the GeekWeekWro! We also invite you to join our hangout channel: https://hangouts.google.com/group/yzVftQe0reMj5dlk2 This event is sponsored by: * Infopark AG (www.infopark.com). * Monterail (www.monterail.com) Regards, DevOps Wroclaw Team ---- Agenda: 18:00 – grab a beer and take a seat 18:10 – Intro 18:15 – "Advanced Prometheus" [EN] by Dmitry Kudelko 19:00 – "DevOps Success Stories" by Mateusz Koszutowski 20:00 – break and mingle time

We like to try new opportunities, so the second meetup will be hosted in other place than typical pub. It will be hosted in the DataArt company. The guest list for this month is strictly limited, so please RSVP if you plan to come. In line with office policy we are unable to supply alcohol for the meetup, so we will be providing non-alcoholic refreshments only. In this event we will continue our DevOps journey through the Kubernetes. Konrad Rotkiewicz will tell some exciting story about "Kubernetes from scratch on Bare Metal". The second presentation will be another story around AWS. Szymon Święcki will tell about implementation of serverless lambda services in connection with an AWS API Gateway.
