What we're about

Our mission is to strengthen body, mind and spirit; incorporating this into the running of our trips, we hope that after you have come on a journey with us, you would have strengthened your body, refreshed your mind, and invigorated your spirit!

YMCA of Singapore is a non profit organisation, by participating in our programmes, you are supporting our local charities. All proceeds from the running of our adventure trips will be channelled to the beneficiaries. Choose to have FUN and do GOOD, at the same time.

We hope to be in touch with old friends and get acquainted with more outdoor adventurers, trekkers, hikers, skiers, bikers, travel enthusiasts (both hard and soft core types). Brainstorm new ideas for places to head to, organise more activities, build a network and pick up more volunteers and members along the way for the Community Service Programmes we have on at the YMCA!

YTreks Twin Peaks of Tampin Recce 2 Aug 2019

Needs a location

The twin peaks of Gunung Tampin stand at just 733 meters and 764 meters tall, it is technically a hill and not a mountain(800m) but due to the sharp incline and declines present in the trek, the “hill” can still be physically and mentally challenging to those inexperienced mountain climbers. Gunung Tampin features a pristine and “untouched” forest vibe, giving off a sort of spiritual reverence that other mountains do not really provide due to their well-maintained paths and beaten tracks. However, that does not mean that the pathways in Gunung Tampin are ill maintained, they are instead less beaten and shows more fallen foliage like leaves and branches than orange dirt. Because the more well-known Gunung Datuk is so nearby, this mountain/ hill goes unnoticed and is less travelled. Therefore, it is a good place to find peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle from other hikers as few hikers frequent this area. Total time hiking all the way up onto both peaks and back out of the mountain is around 3 hours. Things to note: - Total hike IN is around 6km. - There may be leeches. - Humidity will be high due to the dense foliage of the forest. Things to bring - Insect repellent - High socks (prevent leeches) - At least 3 litres of water - Passport with 6 months availability For enquiries, contact us @ [masked] or talk to us[masked] Register here : https://goo.gl/forms/K2NzIz2Q1mxpKUdL2 Trip fee : $115 (groups of 4 or more enjoy $5 off each)
