Description: We hike this foothills ridge with views of the Sheep River valley below us as we head roughly NW to a col below the hawks circling Windy Point Ridge. From the col we descend to a trail tracing the steep N shore of Sheep River back to our vehicles. We will have hiked 6.4 km and ascended 229 m.
Back in Turner Valley there’s the option of toasting the hiking season with a tasting ($6.50 for 4 samples) of the spirits produced at Eau Claire Distillery, Alberta’s first independent distillery.
