Description: Kananaskis Country offers many wonderful opportunities for snowshoeing in the Kananaskis Valley and is a haven for snowshoers. Offering a long showshoeing season and a huge variety of trails. By the Kananaskis Village, there are a couple of great loops for newcomers to the sport, the Village Loops leave right from the Village Center and have a 2.5 km option or a 1.5 km option or we can do both for a great 4 km loop. This loop has a little bit of elevation gain.

Distance: 4.0 Kilometers

Elevation Gain: 40 Meters

Meeting Time and Place: Please arrive no later than 8:45 a.m., in the northeast corner of the Edworthy Parking Lot, to arrange carpooling as we will be departing at 9:00 a.m. sharp.

Driving Distance: 86 Kilometers on way. The Club suggests a compensation of $0.06 cents per kilometer both ways for the driver(s) of the carpools. (Approximately $10.00)

Notice of Cancellation: The trip leader will contact registered participants by telephone or by email if the trip is cancelled or postponed. Participants are asked to contact the trip leader if they have a change of plans.

Guest Policy: Guests are welcome to 'try us out' on a couple of events. Please complete a Guest Waiver ( ) and bring it with you.

For those of you that are interested, we will be stopping at the Kananaskis Village for light snacks and refreshments.
