Night of blues dancing, check. Supporting family-centered services, check. Doing both at once...yeah, this is the night for you. (Well, if you can legally get into a bar.) Saturday, April 6th at GPSCY (204 York St.) $5 admission (and GPSCY is waiving its usual cover) Beginner lesson at 9pm, DJ'd music 8pm-1am What the McDougal Center says: Yale Swing & Blues, McDougal Graduate Student Life, and GPSCY are bringing you a wonderful night of Blues dancing! All our profits will go to Family Centered Services of CT (http://www.ccccnh.org/). No partner required. 21+ with valid proof of age. Family Centered Services of CT's mission statement: Family CT works to prevent abuse, neglect and victimization across the life span and to serve those affected by providing home visiting and outreach, parenting education, family strengthening activities, counseling and advocacy to children and adults. Important fine print: 1) You'll need valid, government-issued proof of age to get in. 2) GPSCY normally charges a cover, but if you tell them you're going to this fundraiser while they're checking your government-issued proof of age, they'll just charge you the $5 dance admission. 3) If you're neither a Yale graduate/professional student nor in possession of a GPSCY sticker, you should sign into the guest book as a guest of Ning Dai. 4) No partner or experience needed. 5) Yale Swing & Blues is an LGBTQ safe space.
