The Retreat Hotel

Hey! We're back for 2019. We've got a new venue. We've got a gig at the Melbourne Ukulele Festival. We've got some fun new songs for the set. Everyone can play bits and bobs and enjoy the learning curve. Calling all you shower singers! Each session - part or whole - is just $10. We start at 6pm with easier beginner songs and skills. We build up a core set of songs for the festival that will develop our ukulele and singing skills such that we can eventually perform them without staring at our music sheets. ;) (we can wink at the audience instead!) Somewhere after 7... 7:30? we break up. Refresh those glasses please! After that, sometimes a few folks hang about to work on other ukulele playing skills: song arrangements that emphasise picking and playing in parts. This smaller group wraps up around 8:30-9pm. We aim to periodically perform at low-stress gigs like the Fitzroy Market and old-folks homes around the area to keep our focus. ;) We also appear at the KLUB MUK ukulele open mic nights in Northcote a few times a year.
