Yavneh announces the[masked] Thursday Theology Series: One River, Many Wells.
On the second Thursday of each month, starting November 10th, 2016 and running through May 11th, 2017, representatives from multiple faith traditions will engage with one another and with participants to explore the richness of shared spiritual learning. As we have learned, divinity runs through our lives as a mighty river, into which every religious tradition dips into the One Source through its unique well. This is a continuation of last year's series, "Wednesday Wisdom."
Our DECEMBER session features Sister Mary Margaret Weber and Sister Judy Hallock of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross will guide us in a consideration of spiritual evolution over a vowed lifetime. How does sacred community help create opportunities for theological education, exploration, and spiritual risk-taking? How do women religious model for us an opening of the heart to divine entanglement and service to others? Sisters Mary Margaret and Judy direct A Place for Women to Gather, an interfaith ministry of their congregation located in Raleigh.
Note: We will meet at at Beth Meyer Synagogue, 504 Newton Road, Raleigh 27615.
