• What we'll do
****No building experience is required. The desire to play with power tools is a plus****
When you get there, park in the alleyway along the right side of the "Freed's Distribution" sign. The coordinators will be towards that back and that is where they will be assigning the builds for the day. From there we will be assigned a house and then we will travel to the house for the build. We can carpool if anyone is interested. If you are late you can give us a call [masked]) and we can give you the location of the house we get assigned and you can meet us there.
We will be building ramps to give freedom to the homebound. This is an early morning project, but very fulfilling. We take for granted being able to enter and exit our homes unassisted, and this will allow the recipients the ability to do so.
Please wear closed toe shoes. There will be coordinators that will guide us through the process for the build. If you have any power drills, please charge them and bring them. The more of them we have, the faster we can build.
Plan to be there until the ramp is completed. Depending on the size of the ramp and number of people this may vary, but we try to be done by noon at the latest.
***Since we have a limited number of spots, please update your RSVP as soon as possible if you find out you cannot make it. Please do not sign up unless you are confident you can make it.***
• What to bring
If you have a drill/impact driver you can bring it (optional). Bring water or snacks.
• Important to know
We will meet at Freed's but will travel to the site of the build once we are assigned a home.
