  • In the Traditional Witchcraft Class Series, Soror MIMM will take you on a journey through the crooked path of witchcraft. Classes will delve into non-Wiccan witchcraft practices including hedgewitchery, cunning craft, cursing/hexing, shamanic practices, folk magic, rootworking, working with blood & bone, spirit flight, and animism. In TW, or tradcraft, witchcraft is viewed as a skill or tool rather than a religion. Most often, practitioners are solitary workers and when working with others, is done so with select individuals, families, or small groups. These small groups are very different from covens and do not have the same hierarchy or structure. Compass-laying, or what's closely related to "circle-casting", is not a requirement for workings or rites, as in Wicca. Most importantly, imagery and symbolism are the focus in traditional witchcraft. Beliefs of traditional witchcraft include ancestor worship, altered states, animism, familiar spirits, and personal responsibility. Practices of traditional witchcraft include ecstatic ritual, operative magic, seership, shapeshifting, and soul flight.
