Mindfulness 101 - Boynton Beach
Simple tools that will help you to appreciate every moment of your life. With as little as 10 minutes per day of quiet practice, we become better equipped to navigate the ups and downs of life on a daily basis. You will be taught a simple technique that you can put into practice immediately. No previous experience needed. In addition we will explore the following questions: 1. What is Mindfulness? 2. What is Mindfulness Meditation? 3. What is the foundational practice on which everything rests? 4. What is the significance of “breathing” in Mindfulness practice? In the weekly classes Dee will teach you a simple, basic technique which only requires a minimum of 5 - 10 minutes of daily practice in order to see tangible, positive results. Anyone can learn the basics in about 5 minutes, no previous experience needed. And even if you think your mind is way too active to meditate - this simple practice will allow you to overcome that block. The truth is that with the right tools and coaching from an experienced teacher, anyone can learn to relax into the moment. Chairs are available or bring a cushion or blanket to sit on the floor. What we're about

Dee Greenberg (RYT) was introduced to yoga at the age of 17. This was in 1970 before yoga had become mainstream. Her first yoga teacher was a suburban housewife. As a result Dee immediately began to study and learn as much about the practice of yoga as possible. She continued to take classes here and there during college and later while living in Boston. Eventually Dee got totally hooked on yoga and has been practicing daily since 1997. She is certified to teach both Kripalu Yoga and Prana Flow (Vinyasa) Dee has studied and practiced extensively with world renowned yoga instructor Shiva Rea (www.shivarea.com)

On this meetup Dee will be listing some local classes that are both affordable and fun! If you are ready to explore the inner landscape of your consciousness and the outer terrain of your physical body, these classes are for you.

Current Offerings:

Wednesdays: 6 PM - 7PM: Yoga 101 - Foundations of Yoga - Dee Greenberg will lead a moderate paced class, welcoming to both beginners and experienced students. You will be encouraged to go at your own pace and modify poses when needed. We’ll focus on fundamental poses and practices. This will include some continuous flow as well as static poses. Thursdays: 10:15 – 11:30 AM: Beginners Yoga - We are hosted at The Highland Beach Library in their spacious Community Room featuring a beautiful hardwood floor and state of the art sound system. This is an all levels yoga class that caters to beginners and we welcome those who have never done yoga before. Seniors are encouraged to attend. There is a strong focus on mastering the basics which are reviewed every week for newcomers. Experienced students are strongly encouraged to consistently take on new challenges in their practice. $10 to drop in.

Saturdays: 9 AM: Vinyasa Flow with Dee - We focus on the coordination of movement and breath while flowing seamlessly between postures in a continuous flow. Includes standing poses, inversions, arm balances, twists and balancing poses. Builds endurance, stamina, strength and flexibility. Come and join the flow!
