Some yoga experience beneficial, contact Deborah for more information on the classes and suitability. £8 per class.

The classes are based on a 10-week progressive programme which will guide students towards a pre-determined goal such as working towards peak poses, developing certain aspects of fitness or will have a seasonal influence.

On completion of the 10-week course (which will be a rolling programme) students will have gained improved fitness, mastery of practiced postures, opportunities to explore relaxation techniques, body awareness and confidence.

Yoga For Beginners

At our 5-week Beginner’s Yoga Course in Glasgow, students will be guided through a progressive programme of postures. Students will be introduced to the foundational poses (asanas) from the families of postures which are commonly seen in Hatha yoga classes and which form the basis of the myriad varieties of yoga classes on offer today. We will explore using conscious breathing, sun salutations, standing, seated and balancing poses, inversions, relaxation and how to transition between them. Our focus will be on setting up safe alignment appropriate for your body to allow you to explore the posture and ultimately experience release, strength and joy in your body. At completion of the course you will feel increased knowledge, body awareness, confidence and enthusiasm to move into a general or level 1 course or to return to a a vinyasa/flow style class with much improved technique and stability.

Open Hatha yoga class for all. Come along for an inspiring and uplifting class which will balance your body and mind through movement and stillness. The class is ideal for those relatively new to yoga in order to learn the foundations properly, as well as more advanced students wishing to enhance their practice. Some yoga experience preferred but not essential. Contact Deborah for more information.
