What we're about

The Yoga Life Society came into being in response to requests from students of Sri Guruji Reverend Jaganath Carrera, who were looking for a way to deepen their understanding and experience of Yoga. They came together to study and practice, to share and support each other, and to serve others through the teachings of Yoga. Sri Guruji's teachings are founded on the Integral Yoga teachings of his master, His Holiness Sri Swami Satchidananda, the revered founder of Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville and the Integral Yoga Institutes worldwide. "The heart of Yoga is not just some teachings and practice imported from India. Yoga is applied common sense and spirituality. In truth, what we call by the name of Yoga is the same as the essential principles of all faith traditions. Anyone who lives a balanced life, a life of peace, joy, and service, and who extends an open, loving heart to one and all is living the Yoga Life." -- Sri Guruji Reverend Jaganath Carrera The Goals of Yoga Life Society include: To lead a life of harmony, service, peace, and joy through the study and practice of the six major branches of Yoga: Hatha, Karma, Bhakti, Jnana, Japa, and Raja. To create an environment - within and without - in which spiritual ignorance evaporates leading to the experience of Self-realization. Bringing loving-kindness and compassion to all.
