What we're about

Come explore the natural world together! We will walk in the urban wilds of Brookline, Boston, JP and Cambridge, discover the animals and plants that live in our neighborhoods, and weather permitting, bring out cameras, sketch pads and notebooks to create from what we see. We may also incorporate some yoga based body and breath awareness exercises into our meetings to increase a sense of calm, focus, creativity, and connection to the natural world surrounding us. No need to have a natural history or art background. Anyone who wants to spend time outdoors to explore nature and creativity in a supportive community is welcome! The group founder is an artist(MFA)and naturalist(MS) and Kripalu yoga instructor happy to share natural history knowledge and gentle artistic guidance/suggestions, also open to others sharing.
