This is Yoga for every-Body and that means we'll practice a style of yoga that everyone can enjoy. Whether you are super bendy or super stiff and inflexible.
My focus as your teacher is just to hold the space and allow you to explore the depths to which your body and mind wish to travel. It's a gentle approach but could be as challenging for you as needs be. You will be encouraged to listen with more than your ears to what your body is asking of you. The most difficult part for some is then to honour the body, to trust and not pursue the normal dictates of our small self, the ego.
We'll do workshops, playshops, meditations, chanting of mantra, pranayama and yoga nidra.
All this in some of the best venues East Devon has to offer including the great outdoor.
(Mother Nature permitting of course.)
The styles we will explore and practice include Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga.
As much as I love the physical side of yoga (Hatha), it's the energy shifts and the opening to spaciousness within that interests me and inspires my personal practice and my teaching style. An Odyssey is described as 'the irresistible urge to return home'. This is a space where you are encouraged to return in safety to that space within you where you feel most at peace and free to be you.
