FEBRUARY MASTERWORKS February 11-12, 2017
In February, we open with a piece entitled Haunted Topography by David Little, the “imaginative young composer” (The New Yorker) who is currently composer-in-residence at Opera Philadelphia. Violinist Chee-Yun thrilled audiences when she performed Tchaikovsky here in 2013. She returns in February to perform the gorgeous Violin Concerto by Jean Sibelius. The program concludes with the magnificent 4th Symphony of Johannes Brahms.
Little: Haunted Topography
Sibelius: Violin Concerto
Brahms: Symphony No. 4
