YRPL League Qualifying Event
Each Tournament is a standalone event with all entries 100% paid out to the nightly prize pool.
Each Tournament will also have points leading to the 2023/2024 Championship Free-Roll (top 10 in points), The Best of the Rest Free-Roll Tournament (11-40 in points) and the Tournament of Champions to be held Friday, May 10th, 2024 (dates subject to change) and Friday May 24th, 2024 (dates subject to change). Up to 5 additional players could be entered into the Best of the Rest as special invites by the Hosts (with no criteria).
Open to anyone aged 19 and over. Limited to the first 60 paid entries plus alternates, seats are reserved by RSVP until 6:55 pm. After that time we will start seating from the waiting list and your seat is no longer guaranteed. Late registration is available for the first two hours of play.
Note: Anyone that registers and does not show up, could be barred from pre-registering to future games.
Tournament Start: 7:00 pm sharp. Registration opens at 6:20 pm - please be early.
- Entry $75 for 7,500 in tournament chips, all entries are 100% paid out in the nightly prize pool;
- Donation $25, players have the option of paying $25 to help cover event costs. This includes a $5 per person charity donation, as a bonus you will also receive 7,500 additional tournament chips.
- Total Cost to play: $100 with includes the $25 donation to help with the continued running of these tournaments.
- Starting Stack: 15,000 in Tournament Chips with Option as above (7,500 + 7,500)
Re-Entry: $100 for a fresh 15K stack, limited to one per player during the first 120 minutes of play. You must be completely out of chips in order to re-enter. You may be given a different seat based on availability. A player making a re-entry takes priority over late and alternate players. A player that has busted out must re-enter prior to play resuming after the first break. $50 of all re-entry funds are withheld to fund the 2023/24 Championship and Best of the Rest Events. $30 goes into the nightly pot, $10 goes towards costs and $10 goes towards a high hand pot.
Surrender Option: At the end of the first six levels of play (120 minutes) and before play resumes after the dinner break, a player with a short stack (who has not rebought previously) may surrender their short stack in order to Re-enter and start with a fresh 15K chip stack.
Prize Pool: Based on 60 players, the final 10 players will be paid out.
Nightly High Hand: $10 from each re-entry will be used to form a nightly High Hand Pot. To qualify for the high hand you must use both dealt down cards to create your hand. The High Hand does not need to go to showdown to be revealed. The high hand must be verified by the players at your table and/or the Tournament Director. Multiple players with the same high hand will split the pot. Minimum qualification is set at Aces over Tens full house (AAATT)
Bounty Chip: No cash value but worth 100 points towards league.
Blind Levels and structure: The blinds increase every 20 minutes and are designed to end the tournament within 8 hours.
Tournament Rules: YRPL House Rules are based on TDA rules. All decisions by Tournament Director are final. We reserve the right to modify the structure at any point during the season (inc;luding during an event) if need be.
League Points
1,000 points - Registration through Meetup
1,000 points - For attending the game
100 points - per bounty won
1,000 bonus points - finished in Top 30
1,500 bonus points - finished in Top 20
2,000 bonus points - finished in Top 10
Bonus 1 Point for every $1 cashed (win $1500, earn extra 1,500 points)
- Lowest game is dropped from standings after game#4
- Championship (Top 10) will be freeroll and all players start with their final points tally in chips
- BOTR (places 11-40) is a $100 entry but there will be money added to the prize pool from the Championship Fund - 25K starting chips (invitees receive 20K)
This is a recreational friendly game please act accordingly.
Alcohol is strictly forbidden.
