What we're about

Welcome! Young Charlottesville was started in January 2013 and has been successful in bringing young people together socially in the Charlottesville area. This group is for those who may be new to town or for those looking for new friends. The goal is to help bring together those in their 20's and 30's (or those who are young at heart) for activities like happy hour, dinner, festivals, and more. We have done a wide variety of activities and are always looking for new ones.

Members are highly encouraged to suggest their own meet up, as long as the meet up is social in nature and not for financial or personal benefit. You may make the suggestion by clicking the "suggest a meetup" button or, if you are feeling more shy, by email to the Organizers. We do ask that you are willing to donate $5 at your first or second meetup to help cover the meetup.com costs each year that are required to be on the site. There are always new members at each meet up, so please don't be shy in coming out. We are a very friendly group and hope you will join us!

Some new RSVP Regulations (as of January 21, 2015):

1) When you RSVP, it means that you like the event and plan on attending.

2) If you find out the day of or right before the even that you will be unable to attend/change your mind, you should change your RSVP to reflect this. Either you can change your RSVP or you send an email with your reasoning as to why you cannot attend.

3) If you RSVP you are attending and choose not to attend/don't email the organizer, you will receive a reminder email the first time. The second time you do so, you will receive a warning email to remind you of the rules. Third time, you risk being removed from the group.

Thank you and happy meeting!
